ReadHampton Gardens School in Peterborough hosted an enrichment day on 28th March for Year 7s to try a range of STEM activities, ranging from the NRich Roadshow to codebreaking.
ReadWe had 72 students from around the county striving to recall, apply and extend calculus concepts within A level Mathematics. Jenny Forsythe and Val Pritchard had their work cut out finding appropriate tasks and questions that the students had not seen before and producing revision guides for new material.
ReadWeekly STEP-preparation lessons have been taking place with Professor Paul Hammerton at the University of East Anglia, attended by Year 13 students from local schools.
ReadThe effectiveness of subject PD has been highlighted by both the Teacher Development Trust’s Developing Great Teaching report and the Wellcome Trust’s follow-up Developing Great Subject Teaching, so it only makes sense to make this available for staff wherever possible.
ReadThe AMSP East of England regional team hosted a series of live online sessions as part of Maths Week England. Year 10 students from schools around and beyond the East of England region competed against each other in teams of four, working on devices of their choice, to solve problems using various maths and puzzling skills.
