Do you have students studying AS/A level Mathematics? Why not tell them about our Setting Out in Problem Solving course!
Course Overview
Our interactive Setting Out in Problem Solving course equips students with problem-solving skills crucial for success in AS/A level Mathematics. With structured guidance and step-by-step support, students will develop a robust understanding of critical thinking. They’ll build a strong foundation in analytical reasoning and develop effective strategies for presenting their solutions clearly. The course boosts students’ confidence, empowering them to approach complex problems with greater ease and perform at their best in their exams.
In addition, the course also introduces students to university admissions assessments. Students will explore a range of questions and information will be shared as a starting point for those who may undertake these assessments.
Who Should Apply?
This course is perfect for all AS/A Level Mathematics students with a curious, enquiring mind. The course explicitly outlines the benefits of problem-solving skills, and through interactive questions, highlights strategies to develop these skills. It would also benefit students considering progression to a STEM degree at university and those who anticipate taking a university admissions assessment. Most importantly, the course will improve problem-solving skills for all students, regardless of their predicted final grade.
Teachers are also welcome to attend! The end of the session will include a short dedicated professional development segment, offering valuable insights for classroom teaching.
