Overview

Core Maths Specification Networks are designed to provide you with the opportunity to discuss and share your experiences and develop your practice around the teaching of Core Maths with teachers who are in a similar position to you. This network is for teachers following the AQA 2A: Statistical Techniques specification.

When registering for this event, you will have the option to sign up to each of the four sessions for the AQA 2A2 network that will take place this year. You are welcome to select to attend any combination of these sessions; however, you must have registered for each session you wish to attend.

Who will benefit from attending?

This network is designed for anyone already teaching Core Maths and following the AQA 2A: Statistical techniques specification. The networks will be led by participants, and we encourage you to attend if you like to share, discuss and collaborate. Content

The content of the session will be determined by the participants of the network. In the application form you will be asked what you would like to discuss which will support your teaching of L3 Core Maths and these responses will form the basis of the event. We encourage you to attend if you like to share, discuss and collaborate with others.

Materials and equipment

We aim to emulate as much of the ‘face-to-face’ experience as possible and hope that these networks will form supportive communities. Participants should expect to be proactive in communicating during sessions, so the use of microphones is mandatory. Additionally, we also strongly encourage you to attend with a web-cam.

Other information

Core Maths Specification Networks will be limited in size and places will be issued on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

Teachers joining the network for the first time will be emailed in the days prior to the session and again on the day of the session with a link to the online meeting room. Once you have signed up for the network you will automatically be informed of the date of the next instance as soon as it has been decided so that you will know well in advance of the session.
