Courses on Offer
For Teachers of AS/A level Mathematics
Dive into the applied content of A level Mathematics with our insightful six-month courses. Featuring a blend of online twilight sessions and two engaging in-person study days, this program is designed to sharpen your skills and inspire your teaching.

Teaching Statistics 1 (TS1)
Unlock new strategies for teaching statistics; this course provides support on the applied content of A level Mathematics and starts on 5 March. Study days will be held in London.
Teaching Mechanics 1 (TM1)
Unlock new strategies for teaching mechanics; this course provides support on the applied content of A level Mathematics and starts on 23 January. Study days will be held in London.
For Teachers of AS/A level Further Mathematics
The following courses build on the knowledge gained in TS1 and TM1 and cover the statistics and mechanics content from AS/A Level Further Mathematics. While completion of TS1 and TS2 is not mandatory for teachers to advance to these courses, it is recommended. Alternatively, participants should have a solid understanding of the statistics or mechanics content from AS/A Level Mathematics to engage with these courses fully.
Teaching Statistics 2 (TS2)
Build on your knowledge of statistics; this course provides support on the applied content of A level Mathematics and starts on 4 March. Study days will be held in London.
Teaching Mechanics 2 (TM2)
Build on your knowledge of mechanics; this course provides support on the applied content of A level Mathematics and starts on 5 February. Study days will be held in London or Manchester.
Alternatively, we offer other opportunities to develop your knowledge in Further Mathematics. Take a look at the course available below. These courses are also offered over six months with a blend of regular online twilight sessions and two interactive in-person study days. Take a look at the course available below.
Teaching Further Mathematics 1 (TFM1)
This course covers at least the pure material content common to all AS level Further Mathematics specifications and starts on 15 January. Study days will be held in London.
Teaching Further Mathematics 2 (TFM2)
Build on your knowledge of A level Further Mathematics. This course provides support on the compulsory pure content and starts on 25 February. Study days will be held in London. While TFM2 is recommended for teachers who have already completed TFM1, it is open to anyone with suitable teaching experience.
Teaching Discrete Mathematics (TD)
This course provides support on the discrete/decision content of Further Mathematics and starts on 30 January. Study days will be held in Manchester.
All of our courses are completely free of charge for teachers working in state-funded schools and colleges in England. Plus, schools and colleges in targeted areas can receive subsidies to help with supply cover and travel costs.
