Our annual four-day New To Teaching A level Mathematics Summer School, in partnership with STEM Learning, is back this summer from Monday 18 to Thursday 21 August.
Are you or do you have teachers who will be teaching A level Mathematics in the new academic year who are comfortable with the subject content but have little to no experience teaching it?
Or are you or do you have teachers with one to two years of teaching A level Mathematics who are happy with the content but want to develop their teaching strategies?
Our New to Teaching A level Mathematics Summer School is aimed at deepening a teacher’s pedagogical content knowledge in key areas of the A level curriculum. It will introduce teachers to a range of strategies for teaching the subject while developing their understanding of how key concepts that underpin A level maths are linked together across the subject.
Immerse yourself in learning while surrounded by like-minded teachers over the four days.

How much does it cost?
This year will look a little different to what we have offered in the past, with more options to choose from.
If you are a teacher at a state-funded school or college, you will get priority for places. There are two options to choose from:
Non-residential – Free
Residential – £225
All other teachers will be put on a waitlist and contacted within the next couple of months if successful of application and will have the choice of either:
Non-residential – £425
Residential – £650
All residential places will include accommodation, including dinner and breakfast. All non-residential participants will only be provided lunch for each day of the course.
What others thought
All sessions were incredibly valuable and extremely well organised. I now feel much more confident in teaching A level, but I will also take away strategies that will have a huge impact on my teaching throughout the school.
