The AMSP aims to increase participation in the advanced maths qualifications – Core Maths, AS/A level Mathematics, and Further Mathematics – and improve the teaching of these qualifications.

We provide support for state-funded schools and colleges in England. The programme is government-funded and is managed by MEI. It works in partnership with the Maths Hubs.

The AMSP values the opportunity to work with university academic and admissions staff to promote the study of maths at all levels to school/college students. We offer comprehensive information and guidance to help you better understand the mathematical content of the advanced maths qualifications, and encourage you to acknowledge the value of these qualifications in your admission offers.

If you are involved with the initial training of maths teachers, you might be interested to know that we can provide one-day sessions on aspects of teaching Core Maths or A level Mathematics for groups of trainee teachers. Interested? Find out more.
